Our customer base includes Weekend Warriors, Professional Contractors, Arborists, Landscapers, Builders, Schools, Churches and many other groups and Institutions.

No need to make a booking - just bring your equipment in at a time that suits you.

 

We specialise in :

• Servicing your machinery - well-maintained equipment works better and lasts longer.

• Repairing damaged and run down equipment – extending its useful life. Repairs can include new replacement engines.

• Sharpening tools and equipment such as spades, hedge trimmers and chainsaw chains as well as mower blades -  improving their performance significantly.

• Products that cover a wide range of quality items to meet your requirements, including good quality second hand lawn mowers.

• Spare Parts and consumables to support your needs on a timely basis.
  

• Timely Performance  95% of repairs and services completed within 3 working days. We support commercial operators with immediate service to get them back to work, as their income depends on their equipment working.

• Pick Up & Return  can be provided at a reasonable cost.

These products are made in Europe (Germany & Italy), Japan, New Zealand, China and Australia.

Lawn mowers including: Lawn mower selection advice, Masport, Mowers for small lawns, Victa, Honda, Lawnmaster, and ride on lawn mowers. Included in these categories are hand, electric and petrol powered mowers and steel and alloy body models.

 

Outdoor Power Equipment including: Cordless products, Line Trimmers (weed eaters & brush cutters), Blowers, Hedge Trimmers, and Power Head combinations (Mulimate Oleo-Mac and PAS Echo).

 

Chainsaws and Other Equipment including: Sharpening Systems, Chainsaws, Water Blasters, Generators.

Pricing

Please note that (except for special promotions), the prices on this website are the recommended retail prices (RRP). Come and talk to us and we will help you select the product and negotiate a price that meets with your requirements.

 

Finance

We can assist you with making loan applications, with Finance Now, for purchases of $400 or more. The approval is generally confirmed within 40 minutes of the application being submitted.

 

Product Training

For many people, taking new powered equipment out of the box at home and reading the manufacturer’s instructions as to where the oil goes and how it starts etc., is not a happy experience. For this reason, we recommend that you come into the shop so one of our team members can demonstrate how the equipment works. This also means you get to test and run the product before you leave the shop.

 

However, if this is not an option, we are more than happy to ship products out to you.

 

Warranties

Our products are supported by the manufacturer/supplier warranties that are generally for a 2 year period.

Some of the extended warranties are:

Masport Mower Alloy Bodies have a 6 year warranty

Cyclone have a 5 year warranty subject to specific maintenance requirements, and Oleo-Mac have a 7 year warranty

We provide a 3 month warranty on parts and workmanship for all our repairs and services

We can provide you with the details of the supplier warranties upon request.

 

The business began as a one-man business more than 50 years ago, when a young Bob Coldham conmenced repairing lawn mowers in the family garage.

 

In 1960, the growing business moved to 521A Mt Albert Rd, Three Kings. This is on the south side of Mt Albert Road, opposite the Three Kings Shopping Centre and Library.

We continue to operate at 521A Mt Albert Road, Three Kings today.

We also continue with BOB’s values of friendly and professional service, value for money repairs and high quality products at competitive and affordable prices.

 

The Team Today:

 

It is our pleasure to introduce you to our small knowledgeable and enthusiastic team, Tim, Josh and Paul.

 

Tim is our chief mechanic. Tim is a qualified master service technican, experienced in servicing and repairing a wide range of outdoor powered equipment. Tim also ensures that we maintain a comprehensive range of spare parts so our clients can be assured of timely repair service. Tim’s extensive product knowledge is extremely valuable in assisting clients to select the right product for their requirements and in providing technical details when comparing products and brands.                                                                               

 Josh has recently joined the team and is training to become a qualified master service technician. Josh currently specialises in lawn mower and other small engine service and repairs. Josh’s product and technical knowledge has grown rapidly to the point where he is also able to assist clients to select the right product for their requirements

 

Paul is here to welcome you, our customers, to our establishment and inform you of our products and services. When he is not assisting our clients with their service and product requirements, he can be found under a small mountain of paper - stock records, job tickets, supplier invoices, payroll, IRD returns, shop stock, etc.  Did we mention Stats NZ and ACC?
